Matthew Gilligan from Gilligan Rowe + Associates LP will take us through the tax changes announced 23 March 2021 at our August Speaker Meeting.
Matthew Gilligan, who is a very experienced and active property investor, and is managing director of property accountants Gilligan Rowe & Associates, thinks these changes are unfair and is campaigning to reverse them. He believes the new rules will have a detrimental effect on landlords and their tenants, meaning both will be worse off. Nor, in his view, will the changes fix rising prices in the housing market.
Matthew will address the Wellington Property Investors’ Association to explain the changes, their impact, and what investors can do.
