James Shearing from Affiliated Insurance Brokers
With over 20 years in the insurance and reinsurance industry and having worked as an advisor and underwriter in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, James has developed a unique perspective on specialist risk management and available markets. He has been involved with a wide variety of businesses and built a reputation around his integrity and qualified advice.
In 2014 James was awarded the ANZIIF Broking Professional of the Year which specifically recognised his ongoing commitment to professional development, all-round industry experience and proven claims results for his clients.
James met his wife Rachel in Wellington, having first arrived in New Zealand over 14 years ago to play rugby in Marlborough. They have two young daughters, keeping James very occupied outside of work. James enjoys gardening, cycling and when the body permits still playing the odd game of rugby.
