Does a stable property market and future price gains sound too good to be true? Jarrod Kerr, Kiwibank Chief Economist, doesn’t think so!
Join us at our August meeting where Jarrod will shed light on the current state of the property market. With so much going on it’s sure to be an insightful and interesting evening you won’t want to miss!
Jarrod believes inflation and interest rates have peaked indicating a stabilisation of the property market this year – and we can expect potential price gains in the upcoming year! He’ll also delve into the impact of the surge in net migration and potential for Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) rate cuts, which can further support and stimulate the housing market.

All About Jarrod Kerr, Kiwibank Chief Economist
Jarrod has a passion for the environment, financial markets, and everything economics. Although born and schooled in New Zealand, he cut his teeth in US, Swiss, and Australian banks, and has spent most of his career overseas. Jarrod started off as an economist at JP Morgan in Sydney. He then moved into financial markets as an interest rate strategist for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, before moving to Credit Suisse in Singapore as Head of Australian and New Zealand fixed income and economic research. After 16 years abroad, Jarrod returned home to the mighty Kiwibank in 2018.
